KARINE PLANTADIT

KARINE PLANTADIT is a Tony Award and Drama desk nominated and Astaire Award recipient dancer and actress.  Soloist with the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater for 7 years, Plantadit has danced on Broadway in Warren Carlyle's After Midnight, Twyla Tharp's Come Fly Away and Movin' Out, Arlene Phillips's Saturday Night Fever, and Julie Taymor's The Lion King. Her films and TV credits include Taymor's Frida and Across the Universe, Ted 2, Chicago and Sex and the City,

Her directing credits include Buh Wha' Trouble Is Dis? ("Best Show" winner at Flying Solo Festival), Stella Rising (Pan Asian Repertoire), Fly Me To Miami, and in dance theater, Vumbua and Iwari.

As a choreographer and director, Karine looks to share her way of telling stories through Dance and Acting, allowing both art forms to mix and mingle on equal ground.
